Given time is never long enough when adventuring in the backcountry, we added an extra day onto the trip this year, for a total of five days. We had two new members to the crew this year: Kim and Debbie joined alongside Andrew, Lee, Adam, and Ledah.
Adding Andrew and Kim to the trip required some epic (extended long) weekend warrior action. On day 5, they woke up in their sleeping bags in Quetico Provincial Park, and by midnight they were in bed in their apartment in Toronto. It was a hustle, and they traveled by foot, canoe, car, plane, subway, and bus to make it happen.
The weather was less ideal than the year before (when we were spoiled). It was overcast and rained intermittently from days 2-5, and hovered around 8 degrees celsius for the majority of the trip. It could have been worse – like two years ago when it thunderstormed then snowed.
